"don't worry, be sexy" is the mindset we need to close out 2024

I approve this message–somewhere in iceland on film
You can tell everyone you were here from the beginning.
My Airbnb is too small to host everyone, so let’s make this our regular hangout spot each week instead.
Staying Frosty is where I, your host, share golden nuggets with you, my guests. But it’s also a space for us to keep it real and shoot the shit.
Let’s be honest: this nomadic life can have us questioning what the hell we’re doing sometimes.
Still, remember this—we’re likely the first in our family’s bloodline to make a living from our laptops while exploring the world. We have it pretty good.
On that note, let’s dive in.
Frosted Tips of the Week:
Paid to live in paradise: this small rural town in Spain is paying remote workers $16,000 to relocate–just commit to staying 2 full years, easy enough, eh?
Silk Road calling: Kazakhstan has launched their Neo Nomad Visa. Requirements? $3k/month income, a clean criminal record, and health insurance. If it means being neighbours with Gennady Golovkin, I’m in.
Co-livings on the climb: With Airbnb and hotel prices making me consider selling a kidney, co-livings are stepping up. Spots like The Social Hub are popping up across Europe with more than 25 locations, offering co-working spaces, on-site gyms, community events, and a perfect blend of living, working, and socializing. They’re planning on opening at least 4 more locations in 2025. Def worth checking out.
remote roles of the week:
devs & marketers, this one is for you.
I have zero affiliation with these roles & companies, I simply want to see you win and if the opportunity fits, great.
Spotlight Job Posts This Week: 3️⃣
Tiller - Social Media Manager: Love content creation & analytics? This fully-remote role is hiring a social media wiz anywhere in the world to drive engagement in the personal finance space. You’ll be hands-on TikTok, Meta, and other social channels.
Toggl - Remote Senior Product Marketing Manager: Obsessed with user acquisition and have experience in SaaS? This is a Europe-only role with 24 days of paid time off per year, a 2,500€ laptop budget and an annual 3,000€ co-working space budget. I’m impressed.
Float - Remote Senior Front End Performance Engineer: Okay Javascript & React nerds, this one may interest you. With a salary of USD 167k (holy shit), this role is looking for someone to own their roadmap and have the technical skills to back it. They’ll have a technical interview here, so be sure to only apply if you feel like you have the tools for the job!
Nomad Diaries: Alisa
Digital Nomad Profile
home city/country: Berlin, Germany
current base: Seoul, South Korea
role/profession: creative strategist/UGC creator
# of years as a digital nomad: 1
“hallo, I’m alisa from berlin, germany. I’ve been blessed enough to see many places of the world. currently, I work as a creative strategist and UGC creator based in Hongdae, Seoul. the lifestyle of a digital nomad is the one that suits best for me, and i love it.
what has been the biggest challenge as a digital nomad? probably missing my friends and family and staying in touch with them can be an obstacle.
what’s your biggest digital nomad hack? probably airport lounges. I have a pretty good AMEX credit card for my business and it includes lounge access. Never paying for food at an airport is pretty sweet.
biggest digital nomad f*ck up? that one time i left my phone in a 7/11 for hours. thank god koreans are so innocent and it was still in the place where i left it.
what’s your non-negotiable item when travelling? my headphones 100%. I have the Sony XM5s and I literally cannot function without them.
favourite & least favourite destination? As much as I love seoul, a piece of my heart belongs to japan. I simply adore their culture, the people, and their food. Ramen is my favourite dish ever (inside tip: the best ramen is in fukuoka). My least favourite destination is Dubai.
okay last one, one piece of advice for a new nomad? que sera, sera. I truly believe life has a plan for you, and as wicked as it may seem, sometimes those are the things you have to get through to arrive at your true destination.
