Let's get personal (and a list of my favorite remote work job sites)
LinkedIn job hacks, remote work jobs site, and more

normal afternoon as a DN
Happy Monday – you’re already starting your week off with a bang by reading this.
I’m sitting in the coworking of my Airbnb rental in Bangkok as I write this. I’m sipping a $1 fresh coconut smoothie, the internet is blazing fast, it’s 35º and sunny, I will grab some local chicken basil, rice, and egg for $2 for lunch, then I’ll hit a workout at the gym at my apartment complex followed by a swim. A regular morning all thanks to being a digital nomad. And all of this for a fraction of the cost of living back home in Canada.
Stay locked in for the next 4 minutes: this week we’re learning about you, slipping you a crucial LinkedIn job-hunting tip, sharing a list of my favorite remote work sites, using a GPT specifically for digital nomads, and pinning a new hidden gem destination.

Okay, vamos.
I want to learn more about YOU.
After all, you’re the one reading this every week – I want to make every word I type as relevant as possible for you. Whether you’re a seasoned DN with a stamped-up passport or just dreaming of the leap. Hit me with where you’re at—quick poll below will directly benefit the content I bring to you.

Today’s Agenda:
Frosted Tips ❄️: LinkedIn No-No’s, NomadGPT, side-gig hunting
Remote roles of the week 💻: my fave list of remote work websites
Pin It: Location of the week 🗺️: this ancient bulgarian town is waiting
Jam of the week 🎧
Frosted Tips of the Week:
LinkedIn No No’s ❌: Despite what LinkedIn or other gurus suggest, trust me on this; do not use the Open To Work banner on your profile photo. I’ve spoken to multiple hiring managers and they all agree, this is not the move. Hiring managers want top talent, they want the right fit, they don’t want to hire someone who may seem desperate (harsh I know, but the reality). So avoid that banner.
Your Nomad GPT 🌎: Looking for your next destination tailored to your exact needs? Use NomadGPT for the best results. Free to use and up to date data fed through nomads.com . Example prompt: “Where can I live for $1,000/month with 50 Mbps Wi-Fi and sun?” - Go see where you land.
Hustle your way to your first gig 💪: Leverage your skills and do this. Pick 10 startups on AngelList, filter Remote OK, grab founders’ emails with Hunter.io (25 free searches/month) and pitch them with your service. Even better if you can find an optimization point on their website, ads, content, anything. “I’ll publish 5 pieces of content that speak about X and Y to help you generate more organic traffic for x$). Obviously this would be more detailed, but the idea remains the same. Need it more tailored? Leverage AI to do a company background and then to help create your concise pitch. Zero job-board hunting, only hustle.
remote roles of the week: ♾️
This week I’m sharing my favorite remote job sites. Many of these are global roles.
1. Wellfound (formerly AngelList) - the highest quality roles
2.WorkingNomads - ideal for digital nomads
3. WeWorkRemotely - great for tech/AI career fields
4. NoDesk - smaller but very responsive and up to date roles
5. Remote.com - very straightforward
6. Himalayas - this is a new one that leverages AI to job hunt
7. RemoteOK - everything. freelance, contract, employees
Happy job hunting. Remember, don’t sleep on LinkedIn job search or directly reaching out to a company you’re interested in via their careers page.

Plovdiv’s your 2025 dark horse—an ancient Bulgarian vibe bomb where Roman ruins meet dirt-cheap living, dodging the tourist hordes. Think $800 a month for a hip Old Town pad, Wi-Fi that hums, and a chill nomad scene brewing under the radar. Pin this before it’s trending. If this is a bit too off the radar, then be sure to check the Top 5 Hidden Gem Spots.
Let’s run it down:
